The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum and Dinosaur Stampede National Monument will be closed to the public from Wednesday, 25 March 2020, until further notice for the safety of our staff, visitors and community.

This decision was made by the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Limited Board in consultation with the Museum Management Team following Prime Minister Scott Morrison's address to the nation on 24 March 2020. Mr Morrison explained that further social distancing measures were required to minimise the effect of COVID-19 including the shutdown off museums and art galleries.

As the mandated shutdown may continue for weeks or even months the Museum's annual Easter Egg Hunt on The Jump-Up (Saturday 18 April 2020) has been cancelled. If you have already booked tickets to the Museum, Dinosaur Stampede or Prep-A-Dino experience, we will be organising refunds for you in the next few weeks.

The Museum will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will provide any updates via the Museum’s website and social media channels.

Our online Museum Shop remains open for those who want to purchase unique Australian dinosaur and natural history themed products. Our online store can be found at

We encourage you to continue to keep in touch and follow our Museum through our website and social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

The entire team looks forward to reopening soon and sharing Outback Queensland's incredible natural history with you. Together we will get through this.
