PLAN A VISIT

The Australian Age of Dinosaurs will reopen to the public on 15 June 2020. Online bookings are essential and must be made ahead of time. Dinosaur Stampede National Monument will reopen to the public on 13 July 2020. At this stage both attractions will be closed on Sundays until 1 August 2020.

The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is home to the largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils in the world. The Museum is split between three facilities, the Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Collection Room and Dinosaur Canyon. 

 
 Open six days a week (15 June to 31 July 2020)
From 15 June to 12 July 2020 the Museum's Ultimate Dinosaur tour will be available twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) and capped at 20 people per tour. Online bookings are essential and only EFTPOS transactions will be available in store. Note Customer contact information will be kept for a period of at least 28 days for the purposes of tracing COVID-19 infections and are captured and stored confidentially and securely (COVID Safe Checklist). • From 13 July to 31 July 2020 all Museum tours will be available online and instore. Only a maximum of 100 people will be permitted on site at any one time. Tours depart on the hour: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm* and run for 3 hours.
 
• From 1 August 2020 the Museum will open daily as normal trading hours resume.
 

Normal trading hours 

 Open seven days a week in winter (1 April to 31 October)
Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 5pm

Tours depart on the hour: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm* and run for 3 hours.

  Open six days a week in summer (1 November to 31 March)
Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5pm (Closed Sundays)

Tours depart on the hour: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm* and run for 3 hours.

*Arrive 15 minutes before the tour commences.
